20 Years Labelling Experience In The Industry

We've been providing labelling solutions for almost 2 decades. We've seen some pretty big changes over the years.

But however the market changes and develops you can be assured that Prolog will be at the forward edge, keeping abreast of everything and translating innovation and latest thinking into practical, measurable solutions for our customers.

Here are just some of the innovations we have brought to our customers over the years.

Thermal technology (both hardware and media), which has displaced polycarbonate labelling and name plates in many durable environments. We provided Electrolux with the ability to change from continuous laser to thermal labels.

The use of Auto ID technology and the use of bar code symbologies is now mainstream.

We helped a leading water cooler company track returns and damages on its bottle racks through bar code labelling.

As industry environments have changed so too have the properties required of the label. We now work with laminates with specialist adhesives, face and backing papers. (Smurfit Group UK benefitted enormously from a paper label with aggressive adhesive that they could stick to wooden pallets.)

Not so long ago, it was beyond comprehension that a label once stuck to a surface could be removed and stuck elsewhere without loss of adhesion. But not anymore.

We've witnessed the rise in pressure sensitive labelling which in many areas of application has replaced wet glue.

We've also seen the massive increase in promotional labelling in response to the demands of the promotions industry. Capturing the attention of the consumer in ever more competitive consumer markets has led to high demand for creative labelling. From point of sale to on pack promotion we've worked with retail companies throughout the country.
