Labelling - Understanding You And Your Business

We follow a six point plan to make sure each area impacting on the labelling process is thoroughly examined before we even begin to make recommendations.

1. The Company And Department's Objective

We look at the nature of the company, the timeliness of the product, the culture. We ask our client's what they want to achieve. We ask them what they like and what don't they like about the way things are currently done.

2. The Current Labelling System

We walk through the labelling process from start to finish. We look at what is constraining and what is facilitating the process at each and every step. We talk to the people in contact with each stage.

3. Production Environment

All kinds of issues can impact on the labelling process. For example, time sensitive manufacture such as food, whether the labels will enter sub zero temperatures such as a freezer, whether they will come into contact with the elements and if so, for how long, will they come into contact with water, how will they be stored, will they be stacked in a small space. All these issues may impact directly on the kind of label and labelling process we recommend.

4. Compatibility Of Existing Hardware.

We always seek to use existing components. The more of your existing components we can use, the better.

5. Range Of Stock And Bespoke Tailored Designs

If our customers' products are varied in their design and function, we may need to seek more than one label feature. It's not uncommon for a company to require a completely bespoke label design to address a particular need.

6. Compatibility With Branding (Marketing) Objectives

Labels can be an important image building opportunity for any company. We seek to understand the components of our clients' visual identities and then examine the possibilities of carrying the brand on their labels.
