Did you see the blog on People Management recently questioning the value placed on some low paid workers? It made us think that - whilst attracting and motivating key talent should be a priority for HR - there is value in adopting communication strategies on reward to motivate low paid workers who often carry out vital business functions.
Whilst offering a full reward package to low paid workers might not be possible, communicating their total pay and the non-financial rewards they receive in a clear and compelling total reward statement could make a real difference to morale and motivation.
