Benfield
Benfield is the world's leading independent reinsurance and risk intermediary, employing approximately 900 people at its headquarters in London. Benfield uses a well known payroll bureau for their payroll service which, prior to Benfield working with Prolog Print Media included the printing of payslips, P60s and P11Ds.
Benfield decided to review the way it presented payroll information to its Team Members. Benfield didn’t want to make changes to its core payroll system which worked effectively, but did want online presentation of payslips, P60s and P11Ds giving Team Members access to their pay information 365 days of the year, 24 hours a day.
Prolog Print Media presented to Benfield Webcare, a secure online solution for the presentation of pay information. Benfield soon recognised that Webcare offered the flexibility they desired from an e-payslip, together with an ISO27001 and APACS approved production facility to handle the data and printing requirements.
Together, Prolog Print Media and Benfield created a business model for an online system and its output mechanisms. This was implemented by customising Webcare to meet Benfield needs. READ MORE >>>
Airbus (UK)
Airbus is one of the world's leading aircraft manufacturers, and it consistently captures approximately half or more of all orders for airliners with more than 100 seats. Airbus' mission is to provide the aircraft best suited to the market's needs and to support these aircraft with the highest quality of service. The Airbus product line comprises 14 aircraft models, from the 100-seat single-aisle A318 jetliner to the 555-seat A380 - which will be the largest civil airliner ever when it enters service.
Airbus’ UK operations consist of two centres of excellence in Filton near Bristol and Broughton, North Wales. Around 13,000 people are employed at the two sites. Prior to working with Prolog Print Media Airbus printed all their payslips in-house. The payroll team would print and seal the payslips one day and circulate them overnight to 117 employee distributors to hand out to staff across the two sites. A small number were also mailed to overseas employees.
Following a site visit to the secure ISO27001 and APACs approved production facility where Prolog Print Media produce their payslips, Airbus took the decision to outsource to Prolog Print Media. Each month just over 10,000 payslips are mailed to UK and overseas employees by Prolog Print Media. READ MORE >>
The County Fire Service - Fire Authority
The County Fire Service currently employ just over 1700 people made up of full-time and retained fire fighters and supporting staff. They made the decision to move their payroll away from a bureau service and to start using SAP. This presented the payroll team with a dilemma. Should they bring their payroll printing in-house or would it be more effective to use a third party provider?
The County Fire Service began talks with Prolog Print Media who had extensive knowledge of integrating payroll printing services with SAP. Prolog Print Media effectively became part of The County Fire Service project team, providing cost benefit analysis on the options available from in-house production to a completely outsourced offering. The team considered all set up costs, payslips, maintenance, staffing and distribution and reached the decision that outsourcing to Prolog Print Media would be the best solution for their circumstances.
Working with Prolog Print Media the staff at The County Fire Service could concentrate on data preparation rather than fulfilment. This effective allocation of resources has proved invaluable, allowing the in-house team to condense their two monthly payrolls into one to comply with Inland Revenue requirements. They have also been able to monitor and update data more frequently to ensure the information is accurate for the direct deliveries to the paypoints. READ MORE >>>

Retail UK - A National Retail Outlet
Retail UK employs 8,000 staff across 800 branches and until recently were printing and distributing payslips and P60's in house. The time taken to print the payslips was more than 10 hours. The payslips were manually sorted into packs for each of the 800 branches, inserted into outer C4 envelopes, addressed and mailed to the individual branch manager to distribute to their staff.
Prolog Print Media implemented a solution which speeded up the process, ensured deadlines were hit consistently, improved the accuracy of payslip information, improved the management of cost levels as well as making records accessible to payroll.
The Food Company - Billing System
The Food Company supplies food products to supermarket chains, wholesalers and small businesses The computer system was not user friendly meaning the credit control department had to access paper file copies of documents to answer queries, create invoice copies etc. Invoices were often late and sometimes the wrong invoices were sent to the wrong customer meaning that customers were seeing competitor's prices and discount terms, resulting in some costly discussions and re-negotiations!
Prolog Print Media helped speed up their invoice process, reduce errors whilst reducing their overall costs. Cash flow was improved as a result of invoices being mailed on time and credit control having an effective tool to use for dealing with queries. A no obligation print process review.
